Orbital Risk was built on a simple belief: protection should make life easier, not harder. The people we look after should feel freer because we're there — not watched, restricted, or on edge.
Our team brings together professionals with backgrounds in protection, investigations, and risk — but experience alone isn't what sets the best apart. The people we field are chosen just as much for judgement, discretion, and the way they carry themselves around your family and your home.
We deliberately stay small and selective. That keeps our standards high, our attention personal, and the confidentiality our clients depend on airtight.
Founder
Tristan Flannery
Founder & Principal
Orbital Risk was founded by Tristan Flannery, who brings private clients a rare combination: elite military experience, intelligence training, and business discipline.
A former U.S. Army Ranger, Tristan served in one of the military's most demanding units before building a career in risk and security across the military, government, nonprofit, and corporate worlds. He founded Orbital Risk in 2020 to bring that standard of professionalism — and its discretion — to individuals, families, and family offices.
He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a degree in Intelligence Studies, and has been a member of ASIS International, the world's largest association for security professionals, since 2008. Based in Texas and working with clients worldwide, he's an active supporter of veterans' causes including the Three Rangers Foundation and the Operator Relief Fund.
