Operating Principles

Five rules we don't break

  1. Assess before we sell

    Every relationship starts with understanding your actual exposure — not a menu of services. If your risk profile doesn't justify an engagement, we say so and part as friends. That honesty is why clients send us their friends.

  2. Design before we staff

    Manpower is the most expensive, most intrusive tool in security — so it's our last resort, not our first offer. Planning, design, and technology solve most problems more elegantly than people standing around your life.

  3. Discretion is the default, not an upgrade

    Unmarked vehicles, plain clothes, communication practices that protect your name even inside our own operations. If your neighbors, guests, or timeline can tell we exist, we've failed a core requirement.

  4. Plain English, honest numbers

    No jargon, no scare-selling, no black-box retainers. Every recommendation comes with the reasoning and the real cost, so you make decisions the way you make them in business — informed.

  5. Built for the long arc

    Your risk profile at Series B is not your risk profile after an exit. We design programs that scale up and down with your actual life, and we're structured to still be your firm when the numbers get much bigger.

Confidentiality

How we handle what we learn

Doing this work means knowing things about you. We treat that as the most serious obligation in the engagement.

  • Need-to-know staffing. Only the people working your engagement know your name. Internal records are minimized and access-controlled.
  • No client lists, no case studies. We will never use your name in marketing, and we don't confirm or deny who we work with — which also protects you.
  • NDAs welcomed. Yours or ours, before the first substantive conversation if you prefer.
  • Clean exits. If an engagement ends, our records obligations end with clear data-handling commitments — not an archive of your life.
