Due Diligence Investigations
Success attracts people. Most are exactly who they say they are. The ones who aren't tend to be expensive — and they're rarely hard to spot if someone actually looks.
The Use Case
Verify before the wire, the keys, or the handshake
Austin runs on warm intros. A co-investor from a dinner party, a contractor your neighbor swears by, a nanny from an agency, a fund that found you after the exit announcement. The social proof feels like diligence — it isn't.
We do the looking: litigation history, corporate records, regulatory actions, financial distress signals, media and reputation, claimed credentials against actual ones. Lawfully, quietly, and fast enough to matter before you commit.
The report reads like a brief, not a data dump — what checks out, what doesn't, and what we'd want answered before proceeding.
Who we look at
- Business partners & co-investors. The people whose names will sit next to yours on documents.
- Household & personal staff. Nannies, estate managers, drivers, personal assistants — the people inside your home.
- Investment counterparties. Funds, sponsors, and deal-makers courting your capital after a liquidity event.
- Vendors with access. Contractors, integrators, and advisors who will hold your keys, codes, or data.
- People entering your family's orbit. Handled with particular care, judgement, and discretion.
Questions
Asked before every engagement
Is this legal?
Yes. Our research uses lawful sources and methods — public records, licensed databases, open-source intelligence, and properly conducted interviews where appropriate. Where a use case is governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, such as employment screening, we tell you and route it correctly.
Will the person know they were looked at?
No. Standard due diligence is entirely passive — nothing we do touches the subject or their circle. If a deeper inquiry ever required outreach, we'd discuss it with you first.
How fast can you turn a report around?
Preliminary findings on an individual typically land within days; comprehensive reports on entities or complex histories take one to two weeks. If a deal is moving, tell us the deadline and we'll scope to it.
Next Step
Trust, verified.
Tell us who's entering your orbit. We'll tell you what the record actually says.
