Travel Security
Ski weeks, summer in Europe, a board offsite, spring break with three families in tow. The best trips are the ones where nobody had to think about safety — because someone already did.
The Reality
Your risk travels with you — and changes at every border
At home in Austin you know the terrain. Abroad, you're improvising: unvetted drivers from the hotel line, villas rented off a listing site, kids on their own schedules, and a phone that's broadcasting your absence to anyone watching your feeds.
Most trips don't need a protective detail. They need someone who's done the homework: which neighborhoods, which transport, which hospital if it comes to that, and a single number to call when a wallet, passport, or plan goes sideways at 2 a.m. local time.
That's the product. Accompaniment is available when the destination or the moment justifies it — but we'll tell you when it doesn't.
What it includes
- Itinerary risk review. Destination assessment, route and neighborhood guidance, and a plain-English brief the whole family can actually read.
- Vetted ground support. Drivers, fixers, and medical contacts we've checked — not whoever the concierge found first.
- Digital travel hygiene. Keeping your trip, your kids' posts, and your empty house off the open internet while you're gone.
- 24/7 reachback. One number that answers, with someone who knows your itinerary, when anything goes wrong.
- On-the-ground accompaniment. Low-profile support for higher-risk destinations, large family groups, or high-visibility moments.
Coordination
While you're away, home is covered too
Travel security and residential security are one conversation, not two.
An empty house during a publicized trip is the oldest play in the book. When we plan your travel, we can fold in checks on the home front — property status, staff protocols, deliveries — so the trip doesn't create exposure back in Austin. If you already have a home security program with us, this happens automatically.
Questions
What travelers ask us
Do we need someone traveling with us?
Usually not. For most destinations, thorough planning, vetted ground transportation, and 24/7 reachback deliver ninety percent of the value at a fraction of the footprint. We recommend accompaniment only where the destination, event, or family profile genuinely calls for it.
How far ahead of a trip should we engage you?
Two weeks is enough for most itinerary reviews. Complex multi-country trips, yacht charters, or destinations with vetting lead times benefit from four to six weeks.
Can you support a trip that's already underway?
Yes. We regularly stand up reachback and local support for clients mid-trip when circumstances change — civil unrest, a lost passport, an itinerary that suddenly went public.
Do you work with our travel advisor or assistant?
Preferably. We slot in alongside whoever books your travel — EA, travel advisor, family office — and handle only the security layer. They keep the miles and the magic; we keep the plan B.

Send us the next trip on your calendar and we'll tell you what — if anything — it needs.
